Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how [CutForge legal entity name] ("CutForge", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use the CutForge website at cutforge.ai and our related tools and services (the "Service"). It also describes the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this Policy. For how we use cookies and similar technologies, see our Cookie Notice.
Please do not upload or send us confidential, special-category, or biometric information (such as health, political, or government-ID data) through the Service.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- • Account data — such as your email address, username, password, avatar, and plan.
- • Content you upload or create — source videos, reference images, prompts, text, audio, project edits, and the clips and images we generate for you, together with related metadata.
- • Billing data — needed to process purchases. Card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, not by CutForge directly.
- • Support and communications — messages you send us through the in-app assistant, support desk, email, or our Telegram support bridge.
- • Other data you choose to provide, such as survey or onboarding answers and feedback.
Information collected automatically
- • Usage and device data — such as pages viewed, actions taken, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, and access times.
- • Attribution data — the first-touch source of your visit (for example UTM tags, referring site, and landing page), used to understand which channels bring visitors.
- • Cookies and local storage — as described in our Cookie Notice.
Information from third parties
If you sign in or connect a third-party account (for example Google sign-in, or YouTube for scheduling posts), we receive limited profile and authorization information from that service based on your settings there.
2. How we use your information
- • to provide, operate, and secure the Service, including authentication, rendering and generation, storage, and credit accounting;
- • to personalize your experience and remember your preferences (such as your interface language);
- • to process payments, manage subscriptions, and run referral and reward programs;
- • to communicate with you about the Service, respond to support requests, and send service and, where permitted, marketing messages;
- • to analyze usage and improve the Service, develop new features, and measure the performance of our channels; and
- • to comply with law, enforce our Terms, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
3. AI processing of your inputs and outputs
To generate clips, videos, images, subtitles and metadata, your Inputs are processed by CutForge and by third-party AI model providers we use to power those features (for example, providers of language, vision, image, transcription, and stock-media services). These providers process the data we send them to return a result, subject to their own terms. We use your Inputs and Outputs to deliver the feature you requested and to operate, secure, and improve the Service. We will ask for your consent where required before using your content for purposes that go beyond providing the Service.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- • Service providers who help us run the Service — for example cloud, database and authentication infrastructure, AI model and transcription providers, stock-media APIs, and email delivery — under contracts that limit their use of the data.
- • Payment processor, which handles your payment data under its own privacy policy.
- • Connected platforms you authorize, such as YouTube when you schedule a post.
- • Support tooling, including our Telegram support bridge, used by our team to answer your requests.
- • Legal and safety — where we believe in good faith it is needed to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of CutForge, our users, or the public.
- • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Content you choose to make public or share through the Service may be visible to others.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use first-party cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, run A/B tests, and measure attribution. We do not embed third-party advertising networks. You can manage your choices at any time through the Cookie Preference Centre — see our Cookie Notice for details and the full list.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business and legal purposes. Generated clips that you do not favourite, and uploaded source files, may be deleted automatically after a retention period shown in the app. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
7. Your choices and rights
You can review and update your account information by signing in, and opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@cutforge.ai. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond as required by applicable law. If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your account credentials confidential.
9. International data transfers
We and our service providers may process your information in countries other than your own, where data protection laws may differ. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for such transfers.
10. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at support@cutforge.ai and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
12. Contact us
